Adarsha College of Engineering (ACE) was founded in the year 2009 by the renowned educationist Sri Mahesh Chandra Dhal, a visionary educationist who believes in hard and smart work. It is an ISO 9001:2008 certified, co-educational engineering college offering Degree, Diploma, and M.Tech programs in Odisha.

Adarsha College of Engineering is one of the top engineering colleges in Odisha, India, and is the first mining engineering college in the state to offer both Diploma and Degree streams. The college was awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification by PCMS in 2010 for its world-class infrastructure and quality education in various fields of engineering.

The core academic processes and civil supporting services are strictly followed and monitored according to ISO standards, where student satisfaction and quality of education are given top priority.

Adarsha College of Engineering is located in the green and scenic mountain valley of Angul, creating an ideal environment for learning. The institution is promoted by the Adarsha Educational Trust with the objective of serving the region by producing trained and skilled engineers. The governing body of the college comprises eminent educationists, industrialists, professionals, and experts.

The campus is organized into three functional sectors:

1. Student Facilities Sector: hostels for students, health centre, and sports complex

2. Academic Sector: academic buildings, administrative building, and library

3. Residential Sector: residential facilities for staff and their families

The academic buildings are located in close proximity to the hostels and staff quarters.

The institute has its own fully fledged health centre with a full-time residential Medical Officer. Specialized medical services include a psychological counsellor, dietician, physiotherapist, pathology laboratory, and yoga centre.
